How to post textures and bundles so people can find them. For finding things, see the search guide.
Before you upload
Everything here is CC0. Uploading releases your work into the public domain for anyone to use, forever, without credit or payment. It cannot be undone, and deleting an entry does not un-license copies already downloaded. So upload only work you made, or otherwise hold every right to release. Watch for logos, brands, recognisable people or property, and assets from games, films, or stock libraries.

Textures or a bundle?
A texture is one entry holding up to 5
images. Use the extra slots for alternatives of the same
surface, like stone_A and stone_B,
or for maps that belong together such as albedo, normal, and
roughness. Either fits.
A bundle is a single .zip with
a thumbnail and up to four previews, for whole sets that
would be tedious to post one at a time.
Rule of thumb: if someone would want the files individually, post textures. If they want all of it or none of it, post a bundle.
Texture entries
Title required, up to 100 characters.
Description optional, up to 500 characters.
Files 1 to 5 images, 20MB each.
Formats png,
jpg, jpeg, gif,
webp, bmp, tiff.
Tags 3 to 16.
The first file is the one people see first, so lead with your best or most representative image. Drag files into order before posting, or reorder later by editing the entry.
Files are checked by content, not extension, so renaming
something to .png will not get it through.
Bundles
Title required, up to 120 characters.
Description optional, up to 500 characters.
Zip up to 2GB.
Thumbnail one image, 20MB.
Previews up to 4 images, 20MB each.
Tags 3 to 16.
The zip file required. Keep the folder structure inside it tidy, since that is what people unpack. Archives that expand past 8GB, or compress any file more than 100 to 1, are rejected as unsafe.
The thumbnail is the bundle's face in the browser. A grid showing what is inside beats a single texture from the set.
Variants
A variant is a texture posted as a version of another: the mossy take on a brick wall, a dithered version, a cleaner or more damaged pass. It keeps related work linked instead of scattering near-identical entries.
Open the texture you are basing it on and use Create Variant. Anyone logged in can post a variant of anyone's texture, so you can build on other people's work and they can build on yours. The entry page shows the parent above and a dropdown of variants below.
Variants are textures only, and each is its own entry, so tag it properly. Searches will not find it through the parent's tags.
Tagging
Tags are how anything gets found, so this is the part worth slowing down for. You need 3 to 16, separated by spaces or commas, and everything is lowercased automatically.
Tags cannot contain spaces. A space starts a
new tag, so pixel art becomes two tags. Join
them instead: pixelart or
pixel-art. Letters, numbers, and
_ - . + * = ^ % are allowed, up to 80 characters
each.
Cover several angles at once:
What it is --> brick bark concrete
What it looks like --> mossy cracked painted
How it behaves --> seamless tileable pbr
Resolution --> 256x256 512x512 1k
Where it fits --> interior industrial fantasy
Search matches partial words, so ston already
finds stone and sandstone. No need for
stone, stones, and
stonewall separately. Check
the tag list first,
since matching tags people already use beats inventing your
own.
Titles, descriptions, and after
Write a title someone would recognise in a grid of thumbnails. Mossy Cobblestone Path beats texture_final_v3. Descriptions are optional but worth a minute: resolution, which maps are included, whether it tiles, anything odd about the scale.
You can edit your own entries any time from the settings panel. Moderators and admins can edit or remove any entry. Deleting your account deletes everything you have posted, files included.
Limits
Up to 60 textures and 30 bundles per hour. Big uploads show a progress bar, then sit a moment while the server stores everything, so give it time rather than reloading. Anything else, see the contact page.
